Privacy Policy

Anzytron, LLC (“Anzytron, LLC”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates tapestryOS, a platform that helps K-12 schools and parent organizations publish events and volunteer opportunities, and lets parents sign up, log volunteer hours, and track participation (“the Service”). This policy explains what information we collect through our admin portal (web) and parent app (iOS and Android), how we use it, and the choices you have.

Each school using tapestryOS controls its own account and data. If you are a parent or student, your school or its parent organization has invited you to use the Service, and you should also review any privacy notice your school provides.

Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

• Account information. Name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider) for admins, organization representatives, and parents who create an account.
• School affiliation. The school a parent joins via a school-provided join code, and grade levels a parent selects as interests.
• Participation data. Event sign-ups, volunteer role selections, submitted volunteer hours, and related approval status.
• Event content admins create. Event details, contact person, donation links, and flyer images uploaded by school admins or organization representatives.
• Consent records.Where a school enables per-event consent, the parent’s typed attestation (including a child’s name as typed by the parent), along with the timestamp, IP address, and device/browser information associated with that submission. This information is provided by the parent, not collected directly from a child.
• Device and usage information. Basic technical information (such as device type, app version, and crash/error diagnostics) collected automatically to keep the Service reliable.

We do not knowingly collect information directly from children. The parent app and admin portal are designed for use by parents, school staff, and volunteer organizers, not by students.

How We Use Information

• To operate the Service: authenticate users, display events, and process sign-ups, hours, and approvals.
• To let school admins manage their organization’s events, volunteers, and participation records.
• To communicate with you about your account or the Service.
• To maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the Service, including detecting and diagnosing errors.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

How We Share Information

Data is tenant-scoped by school — parents and admins at one school cannot see another school’s data. We do not sell personal information. We share information only with:

• Your school. School admins and organization representatives can see participation and consent data for their own school.
• Service providers who host and operate the Service on our behalf (database, authentication, hosting, and error-monitoring infrastructure), under obligations to protect your information and use it only to provide these services to us.
• As required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Anzytron, LLC, our users, or others.

Data Retention

We retain information for as long as your account or your school’s account is active, or as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You or your school admin can request deletion as described below.

Your Choices and Rights

You may delete your own account at any time from Account Settings in the app — see Delete Your Account & Data for what’s deleted immediately versus retained. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at info@anzytron.com. Because tapestryOS accounts are affiliated with a school, some requests may be directed to your school admin, who controls certain data within their organization. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR, CCPA, or similar regulations; we will respond to verified requests consistent with applicable law.

Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards — including encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level data isolation between schools — to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s Privacy

tapestryOS is intended for use by parents and school staff, not by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Where a child’s name appears in the Service (for example, in a parent’s consent attestation), it is entered by the parent, not by the child. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information directly, contact us at info@anzytron.com and we will address it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
